A Place to Believe

When you make the decision to join our faith family at Bethesda by faith in Christ through Baptism or Christian Experience, you are welcomed by our Pastor and our Membership Ministry. At this time, we provide additional information about membership at Bethesda and answer any questions you may have about your faith decision.  Additionally, you will be informed about and given the opportunity to register for our New Disciples Class. Upon completion, you officially become a “Faith Walker” – a member of Greater Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church.

First Steps

There are 5 simple steps to becoming a part of our family:

1. Walk down the aisle during the Invitation to Discipleship. You will be warmly greeted by a Council of Servant Leader and introduced to the congregation. Don’t worry, you will not have to speak. It’s simply our way of welcoming you!
2. Profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
3. Attend the New Disciples Orientation Class
4. Be Baptized (if you have not been baptized before)
5. Receive the Right Hand of Fellowship.
